She’s won the lottery TWICE … an
awesome, generous soul has agreed to adopt her and bought her plane ticket.
Lucy
Lucy was born in Early Spring of 2011. Each day driving around, I would pass by her and her brothers and sisters and mamma everyday - the litter was just along the fence. The puppies were all so cute and as they began to grow I decided that Sid needed a friend, and that I would adopt one from the litter, so after they were about 7 weeks old I went down to the liter to take a puppy. Originally I had my sights on a cute brown male puppy, but when a friend and myself got out of the car to see the litter, they were all going crazy trying to get attention, but Lucy just kind of stood back and watched us - then i saw her cute face and red coloring and I knew she was the one. In retrospect we should have called her Lotto - because we always joked she won the lottery of life in Afghanistan, but due to her cute red hair she was named "Lucy".... She was a strong and healthy dog from the beginning. We had people carry shots and deworming meds out for her. We built her a dog house - which she quickly outgrew. Sid took Lucy under her wing and Lucy followed Sid everywhere - learning the ropes of being a good dog. Often on cold or rainy nights Lucy would sleep on the floor in someone's room. Lucy loves to follow people around, be petted, eat treats and sleep - she is a very laid back dog.

She's from the same litter as Jack.
They are somewhere around a year old. They were being taken care of by some
guards but then we kind of took them over. Lucy was Happy Hours favorite so
last time I saw her she was spoiled rotten. She's super submissive though so
doubt she would be very stubborn. She played fine with the other dogs for the
most part, but she def fights dirty.

Lucy is the smartest and most docile of the bunch. She can sit, speak, lay down, give high fives (shake), and does a great dead dog after you point your finger at her and say "bang." We had almost taught her to say "I love you" but she couldn't quite grasp it. She's a good dog.
