- About 5-6 years old, Syd is presumed to be the love-child of a visiting K9 and a local dog because of her German Shepherd-esque features; however, her origins as well as the true spelling and significance of her name remain shrouded in mystery.
- Fiercely loyal, she will always sleep with her head facing the door. Even if that means the office door hits her on the head each. and. every. single. time. it's. opened. (Loyal, not brilliant).
- First up the mountain! And again!
- She flips out at kites and will practically somersault trying to chase them back and forth. Watching her confusion change into a victory dance when one happened to fall out of the air was priceless. Yeah, that's right Syd. You slew the wicked kite beast.
- Syd can hop around trying to eat toads next to one of the most powerful men in the world while he tries to give a speech. The only thing the audience and the speaker will remember is Syd.

We named her Sid Vicious when we took from the indig, who were being not so nice to her as a young pup (hence her wonky hip). She was so meek and week, the name was ironic. I'm not sure how it morphed into Sydney but I guess that fits her too. She used to pal around with Max, who didn't last as long.

Good call Rage - I was going to explain how Sid got her name but you beat me to it. I have known Sid for about 3+ years. In that time we have had a tumultuous relationship. One day in 2009, I ran over her tail in the office with my chair. Since that day, she has held a bit of a grudge against me. I just fed her today and she still gives me the evil eye. I will also be putting her and Ron in their travel crates on Saturday - they ain't gonna dig that.
